Firday, December 4, 7pm - 9:00 pm, at 1st Christian Church, 328 Fairgrounds Rd. (across from the H.S.) Free and Open to the public. Educator Kathleen Kennedy will be helping us transform our despair and apathy, in the face of overwhelming social and ecological crises, into constructive, collaborative action. Based on Joanna Macys: The Work That Reconnects. Joannas work is detailed in the book Coming Back to Life and is viewed by many as being essential in assisting us as we transform from an industrial growth society into a truly life-sustaining society.

Food, Inc. - the movie (94 mins.)
Saturday, December 12 - 7:00 pm, at 1st Christian Church - Fairgrounds Rd, across from Hamilton high school. Free & Open to the public. This documentary challenges the industrial agriculture system that grows, processes, and distributes our food, and is dominated by a few large corporations. Featuring interviews with Michael Pollan, (Omnivore's Delimma), Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), and influential farmer Joel Salatin of Polyface Farm. We will learn how our food dollars shape the world. Discussion to follow. Coffee and tea provided, bring snacks.
